David B. Williams David B. Williams is a freelance writer and naturalist based in Seattle. In his work, he has sought to weave together stories of people and nature in the urban landscape. His books include Stories in Stone: Travels Through Urban Geology and The Seattle Street–Smart Naturalist: Field Notes From the City. He has worked as park ranger, bike guide, and program coordinator and at present works part–time at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture.
