Makiko Sato
Makiko Sato was born in a suburb of Kobe, Japan. After getting her B.S. in Physics from Osaka University, she came to the U.S. with her husband. She did research on Jupiter’s atmosphere under a supervison of James E. Hansen and received her Ph.D. in physics from Yeshive University in NYC. Since then she has been working at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. She was a co–investigator of the photopolarimeter on Voyager spece craft. Now she works for Columbia University’s Center for Climate Systems Research. She is a co–author of many scientific papers written by James E. Hansen. |
